It’s no news how tough the year 2020 have been for all of us, with the current covid 19 pandemic which have ceased the global economy, and had made us stay home for the whole year. But the Nigerian-British Afro Pop music artist Emmanuel Anjorin popularly known as “Homebased” have come to confess that this is even more complicated for artists.
Homebased, who is currently working on his forthcoming EP project titled “Spur On Me”, which he said he had planned to release prior to Xmas, on the 18th December, have spoken up in an interview with Hypeberg™ on how artists have been really affected with the global lockdown. Artists had no gigs round the year, and even planned shows were cancelled.
He further stated that
”2020 has been a tough year in many dimensions, especially with everything going on in the world.”
However, Homebased believes music is one thing that has helped lots of people get by, even in turbulent times.
”As you know music heals the soul. Hence, I thought dropping my happy party track ‘Let’s Dance’ would let people feel more alive. This track is a mind captivating Afrobeat song, which people will definitely love. It drops on the 20th of November and will be followed by another up beat track on the 27th November titled “My Fire” These two songs are both vibrant and interesting.”
After the release of his successful debut single “Just Fine” which now has close to 200 thousand streams across all streaming platforms. Homebased hopes his forthcoming EP album which consists of 6 tracks, with an interlude by his 4 years old son will make people more happy.
“I must give a shout out to the incredible producers I have worked with on this project Victizzle of Vixmix and Ralph of Jomanedopebeatz_. Great guys indeed.!”
