Davido Shares Throwback Chat With Mayorkun, takes fans down memory lane.
The Nigerian Afro upbeats singer and DMW label founder, Davido recently shared a screenshot of his chat with Mayorkun, a.k.a Mayor of Lagos. As shared on Davido’s official instagram page, the chat seems to be a twitter private message, the first conversations between the two artists.
The chat reveals how Davido first got in contact with Mayorkun, asking him to resend a proposed song. Then an hour later informing him that he would like to sign him to the DMW Record Label. Mayorkun seemed shock with the proposal, he replied with an exclamation.

Davido who had recently released an album “A Better Time”, is well known for his philanthropic behavior towards the upcoming artists around him. Davido has two features with Mayorkun on the new album, one of which fortunately is the hottest track in the collection “The Best”.
The song “The Best” has won the heart of so many listeners, and is currently having a trend of selfie video skits, one of which Don Jazzy and many more celebrities are partakers. This is the showcase of Mayorkun’s craftsmanship, a payback to Davido’s philanthropic behavior.
