Covid-19: Hamilton to miss Sakhir Grand Prix
Formular one champion, Lewis Hamilton is set to miss the Sakhir Grand Prix which will take place Bahrain this weekend after testing positive for covid-19.
His team Mercedes gave a report on the situation saying he woke with mild symptoms on Monday and afterwards returned positive after going for testing.
“Apart from mild symptoms, he is otherwise fit and well and the entire team sends him our very best wishes for a swift recovery.”
Hamilton is now in self isolation and his team Mercedes said they will announce his replacement as and when due.
This situation is set to be a clog in the wheel for hamilton who had it in mind to finish this season on a high with a double win as it concerns the remaining race of the season.
He has achieved the first of it by winning the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.
According to reports, Hamilton is the third F1 driver to test positive for coronavirus this season following Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll.
