Burna Boy “Destiny” featured on Joe Biden & Kamala Harris Inauguration playlist
Burna Boy is fast growing into the acclaimed African Giant he his, with his undisputable career records soaring day by day. The self acclaimed African Giant have broken the bridge between African artists and the rest of the world.
Previously, Burna Boy was credited for being the highest charting African Singer in the Billboard 200 history, for his “Twice As Tall” album. The Album which also gained recognition as the most streamed Nigerian album on Spotify.
Recently, Burna Boy “Destiny” was listed among the playlist curated for the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, by the American Presidential Inauguration Committee. The playlist which features a range of empowering songs. The likes of Beyoncé’s “Find Your Way Back,” “We The People” by The Staples Singers, Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” including oldies like The Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes,” as well as “Destiny” by Burna Boy.
While presenting the playlist, the Biden Inaugural Committee stated via twitter, that the list of songs was curated by DJ D-Nice and Issa Rae’s music company “Raedio.” The committee also release an official statement along with the playlist, which reads;
“As this wonderous transition of power ensues, we strongly hold the joy of these select songs to be self-evident,”
