Master KG says Burna Boy wasn’t paid for Jerusalema Remix
Master KG, popularly known for he’s famed “Jerusalema” breakout single has come about to speak about the progression of his music career. During his conversation with Punch, Master KG made it known that Burna Boy wasn’t paid to feature in the remix of the Jerusalema hit.
During an exclusive interview with Punch via zoom, Master KG made clarifications to the reasons behind Burna Boy’s philanthropic behavior towards his appearance on the song. He said Burna Boy didn’t accept any payments for his craft on the remix, because the original version of the song was one of his favorite songs.
“I did not pay Burna Boy to feature on the remix of the song, Jerusalema. There was no paid fee for this feature to happen.”
Master KG said
“According to what I heard, the song was one of his favourite songs as well. It was so easy to make it work and make the collaboration a success. So, there was no payment for the feature.”
He added
Although the original version of the song was a successful hit, the remix version of the song, Jerusalema went platinum in Belgium, diamond in France and was certified Gold in Australia.
