Burna Boy shares first single “Kilometre” after Grammy Win, teases new album

The Port Harcourt bred, Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy has released a new single. The song marking a debut since his first, historic Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album, for the album “Twice as Tall.”
After months of nationwide jubilation for the certification of the self acclaimed African Giant. Burna Boy has dedicated a new song to his determination. The song “Kilometre” is a reflection of how far he has come, to which according to him should be an inspiration for the next generation.
Produced by Chopstix, the dub-y atmosphere fused track sees Burna Boy reminiscing on his extensive determination to succeed, while stylishly throwing jabs at the naysayers.

Though, not his first release this year, “Kilometre” marks his first solo single since his collaboration with Becky G for “Rotation” earlier in February.
After the groundbreaking, Grammy nominated African Giant album in the summer of 2019. Burna return with more effort than before, putting all his energy to work in the Grammy-winning album “Twice as Tall” in the summer of 2020. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Burna Boy teased his plans to bring forth a new energy for the summer, again this year, as he plans the release of a new album.
“I’m definitely planning to drop my next album this year. Especially, at the same time I dropped the last one. I’m trying to do that as long as I can.”
